Camp Chase Cemetery Reclamation Project

The Veterans Administration completed the first part of a reclamation project at Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery. This included, aligning, and leveling all the tombstones
and replacement of all sod.

Now there are straight rows leading to the arch.
The tree behind the arch was too old and dead
to keep.

This is the process that was done to reclaim the land

Each tombstone was measured from where it was removed so that it could be put back exactly in place.
