Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery

CAMP CHASE CONFEDERATE CEMETERY IS THE FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR 2260 AMERICANS WHO COULD NOT GO HOME.

Research by a friend has provided us with the causes of death for 2169 of those buried at Camp Chase

The graves marked are those of 3 brothers. John who died on 1-22-1865, James who died on 1-25-1865 and Jacob Kelly who died on 1-29-1865. They had been captured at Nashville on 12-16-1864.

Our southern brothers lay under a white cover of purity
